I read that in the new IPP v7, jpeg codec multicore performance has been improved compared to IPP v6.Question 1: Is this improvement for JPEG2000 also?I'm using the UIC jpeg2000 decoder and I'm not seeing much improvement (at the most 10%) with two cores compared to one. The smaller file size for dynamically loading would be the only advantage to adding support for JPEG2000 in the player I think it would be a long while (if ever) before JPEG2000 images could be kept as-is in a SWF (for a long time, and still currently, its only JPEG or zipped bitmap images that be in a SWF) - Jeckyl.
But I don't see that happening soon (and it would require Flash Player to have JPEG2000 decompression code in it, which would make the player even bigger again).
